1920 Germany Poster Stamp Lost Colony Series Posen Imperial Castle (Poznań In Poland) Unused 60% Original GumThis German Poster Stamp Depicts The City Of Posen And Belongs To A Series Commonly Referred To As The Lost Colonies Or Lost Territories Series, Issued In The Early 1920s To Commemorate German Lands Lost After World War I. Posen, Now Known As Poznań In Poland, Was Once A German Provincial Capital But Was Transferred To The Reborn Polish State Following The Treaty Of Versailles In 1919. The Stamp Features A Red Illustration Of The Imperial Castle, Or Zamek Cesarski, A Symbol Of German Authority In The Region, Set Within A Black Decorative Frame With A Banner Reading Posen Across The Top And Heraldic Crests In The Lower Corners.
