1925 Finland Charity Poster Stamp 1 Krona A Home For Homeless Children.(Swedish Version) MNH Light Oxidation In Margin On FaceThis Finnish Charity Poster Stamp Features A Blond Child In Red Clothing With A White Collar Standing In The Foreground Near A Red Country Cottage With A Flower-Dotted Yard. A Scalloped Medallion Bearing The Denomination “1–” Appears In The Lower Right. The Upper Caption Reads “Hem Åt Hemlösa Barn,” Which Translates From Swedish As “A Home For Homeless Children.” Although The Text Is In Swedish, The Stamp Was Issued In Finland As Part Of A Fundraising Campaign By The Finnish Relief Organization Originally Named “Hem Åt Hemlösa Barn,” Founded In 1922 By Ester Ståhlberg And Adolf Von Bonsdorff To Aid Displaced And Orphaned Children After World War I. This Organization Later Became Known As Rädda Barnen (Save The Children Finland) In 1945, But This Label Dates To Its Early Period, Between 1922 And 1945.
