May 14–24 Unused No Hinge Mark 80% Original GumThis Decorative Poster Stamp Was Issued For The Concours, Foire, Et Exposition De Poitiers, A Combined Competition, Trade Fair, And Exposition Held In The French City Of Poitiers From May 14 To 24, 1925. The Design Centers On A Stylized Cityscape Of Poitiers Rendered In Monochrome Green Ink, Framed By Flourishes And Symmetrical Curves In The Art Deco Style. At The Center Of The Composition Stands The City’s Coat Of Arms, Featuring A Lion Rampant Surrounded By A Crowned Stone Wall Emblematic Of Poitiers’ Medieval Heritage. Behind The Crest, The Skyline Includes Notable Buildings And A River Scene With Workers And Animals, Reflecting Both Industry And Tradition. On The Right, Blossoming Flowers Suggest Springtime And Civic Prosperity.
