1927 Italy Poster Stamp First Italian Exhibition Of Commemorative Stamps Third Decorative Arts Exhibition Monza Unused Hinge Remnant 80% Original Gum This Italian Poster Stamp Was Issued In 1927 To Commemorate The “First Italian Exhibition Of Commemorative Stamps” Held In Conjunction With The Third Decorative Arts Exhibition In Monza. The Design Features Three Stylized Male Figures In Classical Nudity, Rendered In A Simplified, Modernist Style, Cooperatively Hoisting A Large Beam Composed Of Vertical Columns—A Visual Symbol Likely Referencing Architectural Or Constructive Unity In The Decorative Arts. The Brown Monochrome Palette And Geometric Simplicity Reflect The Rationalist Aesthetic Emerging In Italy During The Late 1920s.
