1939 Hungary Poster Stamp 16th Stamp Day June 3–4 Hungarian Stamp Collectors’ Circle Budapest Hungary 40th Anniversary Of The Hungarian Philatelic Society Founding 1899–1939 MNH Light Crease Mid Center Left SideThis Striking Hungarian Poster Stamp Was Issued For The 16th National Stamp Day (XVI. Bélyegnap), Held In Budapest On June 3–4, 1939. The Design Features A Metallic Gold Seal On A Deep Red Background, With Bold Gold Lettering Throughout. At The Center Of The Stamp Is The Emblem Of The Hungarian Philatelic Society (Magyar Bélyeggyűjtők Köre), Featuring A Stylized Letter “B” Superimposed On A Horizontal Shield Design, Surrounded By The Society’s Full Name In Hungarian And English: “Hungariae Magyar Bélyeggyűjtők Köre.” The Dates “1899” And “1939” Appear On Either Side Of The Lower Edge Of The Emblem, Commemorating The 40th Anniversary Of The Philatelic Society’s Founding. The Background Has A Textured Appearance Reminiscent Of Satin Or Moiré Silk, Adding Visual Depth.
