The Council Chamber at the Chateau de Malmaison was created in 1800 by Charles Percier and Pierre Fontaine Pierre, Napoleon Bonaparte's official architects. The chamber was created because of the increased frequency of ministerial meetings at Malmaison. The council room was created in July 1800. Napoleon and Josephine became owners of Malmaison in 1799.
