Item Description

This Lot is a 1937 Hong Kong Scott #141-42 and #144 King Edward VII Used on First Thru Transpacific Air Mail Flight Hong Kong - Macao-San Francisco by Pan American Airways Clipper. American Air Mail Catalogue (AAMC) FAM #14-16 is applicable. Stamps have deep rich coloring, four margins at edge of design, and excellent perforations all around. Stamps have slightly varied centering but nice within the narrow margins. Cover measures approximately 171 mm x 103 mm, has very light rounding of corners and light wear on straight edges from postal handling. Front bears F.A.M. 14 Cachet handstamped over green map cachet showing route of the aircraft. Front of cover is clean as is the reverse side showing only light wear from postal handling. Please see pictures of front and reverse for condition and quality.
