Item Description

This Lot is a 1938 Austrian cover featuring Scott #C32-35 tied by "One People, One Empire, One Leader / 10 April 1938 / Wien" circular date stamp. Cover was issued to commemorate the referendum on German Anschluss of Austria on 10 April 1938. Stamps have deep rich coloring, four nice margins with balanced centering, and nice perforations all around. Cover measures approximately 162 mm x 117 mm, has very lightly rounded corners and sharp straight edges, and is on cream colored paper with light wear from collector handling. Cover does have light vertical crease approximately mid-point from folding. Cover has no return address or destination address. Please see pictures.
