Up for auction is a beautiful parcel Receipt cover from Chelm Lubelski to the Warsaw ghetto Poland when it was occupied by Germany. Postmarked June 30, 1941. Priced to sell. Great censorship and receiver markings. Note the receipt markings on the back from officials with the Jewish ghetto administration.Sender is named Goldman and recipient is named Gitta Sukiernik..German officials restricted food and medicine in the ghetto but allowed the prisoners inside to receive food packages from outside the ghettos. The parcel covers like this documenting food parcels to ghettos is very scarce. For the serious collector of Judaica and Holocaust related philately this is an exceptional item. Cover is in excellent condition.
