Up for auction is a beautiful censored cover from a Prisoner of War, POW, in interment Camp in Devlali, India to Rev JB Haas Poona . Beautiful cancels and markings. Not dated . In good condition . Priced to sell. The Dehra Dun camp held Jewish detainees who were German citizens who had fled Germany before the war. Refered to by the British at "Friendly enemy aliens" they were locked up for the duration of the war. Extremely rare and scarce, about 850 Jewish refugees were imprisoned in British India during the war. Very rare author. Prisoner P hormann .
