Up for auction is a rare and unusual Krakau Krakow ghetto postcard cover from Poland to Zurich Switzerland . The card is postmarked 1941. Priced to sell. Judaica. Scarce item from a Ghetto. Attached is a translation of the postcard and some speculation by the former owner. Sender is an M Eisenstein. Mail outside German occupied territories by ghetto residents is limited and scarce.Also of note. This is an uprated postal stationery postcard. the stamp affixed does not appear to be either the original stamp or if it is it was removed and then replaced. Removing stamps from mail sent by prisoners and ghetto residents to check for hidden messages was common. This postcard was also subjected to a chemical swipe seeking hidden messages as well. All commonly used to conceal the breadth and depth of atrocities occurring in occupied Europe.For the serious collector of Judaica and Holocaust related philately this is an exceptional item.
