Up for auction is an beautiful postcard Christmas cover from Oflag 7B, in Eichstatt, Germany from a Canadian prisoner of war at the officers POW camp to Sarnia Canada. Postmarked December 8, 1942. In excellent condition. Priced to sell. Nice postal history cover. Great cancels and POW camp markings. Sender is Captain Bryan Wilson.Note the cover has airmail postage affixed which is very rare. POW mail was entitled to free postage, for surface mail. If the prisoner wished to send it via airmail, they needed to purchase the appropriate postage from their captors. very scarce.Shipping will be a flat $2.00 within the continental U.S. for USPS mail.
