Up for auction is a beautiful censored postcard cover from the Jewish ghetto in Ipolysag Hungary to Garany. In excellent condition. Priced to sell. Postmarked March 11, 1943. Mail to or from Hungarian ghettos is extremely scarce. Unlike polish and Czech ghettos, the Holocaust experience of Jews in Hungary has not been very well studied or documented. Very rare item, note that similar items to this (same sender and addressee) are in the collection of the Holocaust museum in Los Angeles.
