Up for auction is a beautiful censored cover from an L Rozencwag in the ghetto of Sosnowitz Poland when it was occupied by Germany to Leysin Switzerland. Postmarked May 20, 1943. Priced to sell. Great censorship and receiver markings. The cover was mailed shortly before the Sosnowitz ghetto uprising a few months later in August 1943 which was brutally crushed by the Germans and led to the liquidation of the ghetto a few months later. Very rare piece of postal history, moreso in this condition.For the serious collector of Judaica and Holocaust related philately this is an exceptional item.
