Item Description

 Up for auction is a beautiful postcard cover from a  prisoner in the concentration camp in Theresienstadt Terezin concentration camp ghetto in Czechoslovakia, then known as Bohemia, Moravia. Postmarked August 31, 1944. Priced to sell. The sender is a prisoner named  Max Sternschuss to Guido Glass in Lucerne, Switzerland. Note that the postcard is stamped that recipients can only send or receive mail in German and the sender is care of the eldest of the Jews in Prague. Rare ghetto stamp. Note the cover was routed through Berlin.

I do not know who Glass was except he received a lot of mail from Jews in ghettos and concentration camps during WW 2, if anyone knows his historical significance please let me know.

For the serious collector of Judaica and Holocaust related philately this is an exceptional item. Cover is in excellent condition.
