1944 Hand Drawn Illustrated Special Delivery Cover, 2 booklet Panes Scott # 804b A Superb One of a Kind, Artist made Hand Illustrated Cover with a Illustration of George Washington. PREXI Issue of 1938 Hand Drawn in black pen. Using Two Complete Booklet panes of 6 ,Scott # 804b (1 cent PREXI George Washington) This is NOT a FDC but a UNIQUE Artist Made Cover that went trough the mail as Special Delivery within the New York City Postal Service. Postmarked New York, February 22 1944 and with a Back Postmark of February 23 1944.(one day later) The Strip of cloth like paper on the back probably was part of a Postal Receipt.?? Great Condition nicely opened at the top.
