Item Description
Full mint sheet of 50 - 3 cent stamps issued in 1944 to honor the 1942 final resistance of the U.S. and Philippine defenders on Corregidor to the Japanese invaders. The stamp shows an ariel view of Corregidor, Manila Bay. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. Except for an erased pencil notation in the large selvedge which left a white smudge, this sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 70+ years ago and is suitable for framing.
