Item Description

Full mint sheet of 50 - 3 cent stamps issued in 1946 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. The stamp shows a picture of the Smithsonian Building. The picture shows one of the stamps from the sheet. Except for having been folded across 1 row of perforations, this sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased from the Post Office 70+ years ago.  It is suitable for framing. If you're a stamp collector, it is Scott #943. Plate # 23466 LL.
