Item Description

This is an excellent condition set of 4 stamps issued shortly after WWII ended and was the Allied USA-British Occupation stamp set. The design on the stamp was the traditional sign of peace- the dove with olive branch being held above broken chains with two hands. The words "Deutsche Post" (German Post) are in Gothic script. Set has four stamps of four diff. colors and face values- a 1, 2, 3 and 5 Mark. All are in excellent mint never hinged condition with original gum. The stamps are 25 X 30 mm in size with perfs measuring 14 X 14.
