This Historically Significant Poster Stamp Was Issued In 1947 By The American League For A Free Palestine, Inc., A New York-Based Zionist Organization Dedicated To Supporting The Establishment Of A Jewish State In British Mandate Palestine. The Design Features A Striking Green Illustration Of A Soldier's Head In Profile, Titled "The Wise Son", A Reference To One Of The Four Sons In The Passover Haggadah—symbolizing Understanding And Responsibility. The Soldier Wears A Standard WWII-Era U.S. Helmet, Emphasizing Readiness, Strength, And Determined Resolve.Beneath The Portrait Is A Symbolic Hebrew Word For “Freedom” Or “Redemption”, Stylized In A Modernist Script.
