Item Description

Full mint sheet of 50 - 3 cent stamps issued in 1956 to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Franklin. The stamp shows an artistic representation of Franklin taken from a painting by Benjamin West entitled "_Franklin Taking Electricity from the Sky_". The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. This sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 55+ years ago and is suitable for framing. If you're a stamp collector, it is Scott #1073. I may have a variety of plate numbers and positions available so ask if you are looking for something in particular.
