Item Description
1988 Barbados SG 856a error stamp should display a picture of Herman C Griffith . The incorrect picture of Edward Lawson was used . This 50c error portrait was spotted 2 days prior to the release afterwhich intructions were given for them to be recalled . Notice failed to reach the Parcel Post Department and 101 copies were sold .The 50c with the correct image was reprinted and ussued on July 11 ( one month later than the other values .
