2018 Maximum Card with stamp "100th anniversary of the Naval Forces of Ukraine".
100th anniversary of raising the Ukrainian flag by ships of the Black Sea Fleet.

On January 27, 1918, the Ukrainian Central Rada adopted a temporary law according to which the Black Sea Fleet (both military and transport) was declared the fleet of the Ukrainian People's Republic.
During the liberation of Ukraine from the Bolsheviks, on April 22, 1918, a group of the UNR Army colonel Petro Bolbochan broke through to the Crimea with battles. Soon she liberated Simferopol and other settlements on the peninsula.
On April 29, 1918, red flags were lowered and Ukrainian flags were raised on military ships in Sevastopol by order of the commander, Rear Admiral Mykhailo Sablin.
In April 1919, the Maritime Ministry of the Ukrainian People's Republic decided to consider April 29 as the holiday of the Ukrainian State Navy and, together with that, the holiday of the Ukrainian Black Sea.

On the photo - Cruiser of the 1st rank "Memory of Mercury" ("Kagul", "Hetman Ivan Mazepa", "Comintern") - a ship of the Black Sea Fleet, the first cruiser that raised the Ukrainian flag and recognized the authority of the Ukrainian People's Republic. In 1918, it was part of the Black Sea Fleet of the Ukrainian State. In September 1918, by order of Hetman Pavel Skoropadsky, the cruiser "Memory of Mercury" was renamed in honor of Ukrainian Hetman Ivan Mazepa.
