In May 2024, Azov turned 10 years old. Since its inception, the military formation has come a long way: from dozens of volunteers aimed at fighting the occupiers to a special forces brigade within the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Azov soldiers have become a symbol of exceptional courage and resilience. Since 2014, they have been defending Ukraine, having fought for Maryinka, Ilovaisk, Shyrokyne, Berdiansk, Vodiane, Sopyne, Hnutove, Lebedynske and other settlements. And again for Mariupol, Velyka Novosilka, Orikhivske direction, Kreminna forests in February 2022.

Currently, more than 900 Azov soldiers who fought for 86 days in the enemy-held Mariupol are still in captivity.

With the postal issue "AZOV. 10 years" honors those who died for the freedom of Ukraine, reminds us of the prisoners of the Russian invaders and celebrates the feats of each of the soldiers of the legendary military formation.
