ANTI-WAR commemorative COVER: The Moratorium on the War in Vietnam; 6c Christmas, (Scott #1384), tied by Jenkintown PA Nov 15 1969 machine cnl to cover, large label for STRIKE! & March on Washington & San Francisco was created and also tied to this cover, addr Flourtown PA, apparently privately made, unobtrusive stain right above stamp, pencil on reverse, very scarce item. The Moratorium to End the War in Vietnam was a series of massive demonstrations across America against the United States' involvement in the Vietnam War. It took place on October 15, 1969, followed a month later, on November 14-5, 1969, by a larger Moratorium March in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco. It has been said that this was the first time the anti-war movement reached the level of a full-fledged mass movement.

I could not find much about the young man this cover was mailed to. But he was the right age to be drafted. That I am sure of.

The artist that created the label is one of the artists that made the posters for the movement.
