Here's a bit of a cheat -- the AmeriCover 1995 Show Cachet celebrated the 40th Annual convention of the American First Day Cover Society.  The show was held in Irvine, CA in August of that year, and the $10.75 ENDEAVOR Express Mail stamp was issued at that show.

But the $3.00 CHALLENGER Priority Mail stamp was issued a couple months earlier, and the 'grace period' for submitting civers for FDoI servicing was still in effect, so I quickly sent in one of the printed envelopes with the cheaper $3.00 stamp on it.  $10.75 for a stamp was a bit above my budget limitations back then!

This is the AmeriCover '95 Show Cachet, but printed on what might have been the only blue wove envelope.  It was printed in two colors (red and blue) but this FDC is the only one with hand enhancements (colored pencil coloring!)

Since this was the 40th anniversary of AFDCS shows, the decision was made to make the show theme "Life Begins at 40".  My life, personally, began quite a bit before I hit that age! ;o)
