This cover was mailed from Antilias Beirouth to Stamboul, Constantinople in 1923 franked by a dull blue 2.50p on 50c French surcharged Sower issue of 1922, Syria Scott 42. The stamp is tied to the envelope by an octagonal handstamp.The backflap is re-sealed with a tear but otherwise intact. No contents. Double circle arrival marking verso ?Balikesir?).
