May 11, 1862 dated letter with indistinct may 14, 1862 cds and double oval 'vias v compania puerto rico' blue handstamp. Amell julia & company were general merchants and lanman & kemp are still in operation today selling 'florida bottled water' cologne, soap and other sundries. Interesting and scarce usage during the civil war! Sent 1862 opened cleanly at wax seal, light general wear & toning. Very fine condition. Shipping is $2.00 domestic and $3.00 international.
