Ascension Island 1938 1/2d- £1 Pictorial, PERF 13.5, SG 38-47, Scott 40a-49a, LMM/MLH, Scott Cat $314 for MLH................SG Cat £492($821) for MNH, 

Very fresh with great color, all well centered, all with faintly toned streaky gum (barely noticeable and correct for this early wartime set)

The 3d Ultramarine is lightly mounted (MLH) with light evidence of hinging.
The 1/2d-10/- are very lightly mounted with only faint gum disturbance, most appear unmounted at first glance.
The 4d Ultramarine and 2/6d Carmine are unmounted (nh) mint

Attractive and Scarce 1938, PERF 13.5, complete set in very fine mint condition.

Condition notes for mint stamps
UMM = Unmounted Mint - never previously hinged (nh) mint stamps with no gum disturbance

VLMM = Very Lightly Mounted Mint - No hinge remainder but has very slight gum disturbance which may have been caused by a hinge.

LMM = Lightly Mounted mint clear evidence of having been previously mounted but light with full original gum

MM = Mounted Mint - clear evidence of having been mounted with hinge remainder(s) on back

Unused = No gum
