As described in the Australian Commonwealth Specialists' Catalogue (ACSC) as Catalogue Number BW8(3)n, regular issue with variety “Notch in left frame opposite wattles”. The BSAP Check List shows four Second State characteristics of this variety: 2a - Top Left Corner protrudes; 2b - Left frame curved for 1mm below top corner; 2c - Left Frame bent and curved from 8.25mm to 14.25mm from bottom corner; 2d - Notch cutting into Left Frame 4.25mm above bottom corner and gradually sloping back to normal at bottom corner.ACSC Sixth Watermark (Crown CofA) / SG watermark W 15. 1d King George V side face issue of 15 August 1931.
