Item Description
Buy Canadian. The exchange rate for all major currencies is currently very attractive.I really like the Australian Commonwealth Specialists' Catalogue but this is a case where its describes BW82(4)ea by what its used to look like ( BW82(4)e ) rather than what this variety actually looks like following a retouch. The stamp, in Pane VII, Position 7, was retouched to repair cuts in shading lines and the upper frame to the left of the crown and a flaw on one of the pearls in the crown. The BSAP Check List comes to the rescue, stating that top shading line to the left of the crown is thicker than normal but becomes very thin at its left end, and the next shading line down is thick throughout its length but bends upwards at the left end,
The ACSC catalogue value for BW82(4)ea in 2017 was Australian $30. At that time the Australian and Canadian dollars were approximately at par.
