Australia. First Day Cover of 1950, issued to mark the centenary of the first Australian postage stamps. The cover is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the first Australian postage stamps issued in 1850. It depicts Queen Victoria and a view of Sydney circa 1850. Two 1950 stamps were used, each with the inscription "AUSTRALIA ONE HUNDRED YEARS".
The stamps were postmarked on 27 May 1950 at a post office in Victoria, Australia. (Scott # 229 a)
