Australia ~ May 1,1960 ~ 8d red brown Spotted-Tailed Cat issue, Scott 321, First Day Cover.

Stamps are tied by a Beaconsfield, NSW cds; un-addressed.

The WCS cachet, depicting 'The Tiger Cat / A Native of Tasmania' was printed with the incorrect issue date, 6th April, 1960. A previous owner crossed the incorrect date out with ballpoint, and wrote in the correct date, May 11th.

The backflap is un-sealed and intact. No contents or backstamps.

Light horizontal or vertical lines in the images are scanner artifact !
