Item Description

This stamp is perf 12½ on ordinary paper and is listed as “brown” by Scott. The orange “mark” at the bottom is actually a paper inclusion that looks like a raised area from the back.

Scott indicates all stamps except this 25r #41 in the 1881-82 issue were reprinted. The J. Barefoot “Forgery & Reprint Guide 12 Portuguese Colonies” booklet (1983) seems to agree.
