Envelope has has a painting printed in black and white by Al Aprague with the following remarks: Mule No. 35 is on eof the locomotives designed to show to tow, guide, and brake ships through the Panama Canal lock chambers. Built in Japan, these 55-ton electrically opreated locomotives can pull 70,000 pounds at one to nine mph. The name "mule" was derived from the times when actual mules were used to pull ships through canals. Stamped October 25, 1978.
