Item Description

SCV $0.50 (2018). Single 3.25-franc + 11.25-franc semi-postal stamp depicting Jan Moretus Plantin in UNUSED, VF condition. Hinge marks are seen on the back of the stamp, otherwise no flaws noted. The gum is immaculate & shiny (except in the area of the hinge marks), the stamp is crisp & its color is distinct. The surtax was for prisoners of war. Photogravure, water-activated gum, perf 11½.
