1️ Philatelic: This 1919 military postcard was sent from Belgium to Montevideo, Uruguay, bearing a violet cachet of the 6e Régiment de Chasseurs à Pied – État-Major (6th Regiment of Infantry – Headquarters). No adhesive stamp is present, as was common for official military correspondence. This postcard represents a post-WWI military free-franking item, validated with regimental marking — a rarity on mail to South America.
