Item Description

Affordable example of the 3 cent 1857 type 1, #25, on cover from New York to Cooperstown. Black CDS ties stamp.  Cover with staining from twine with small hole; stamp centered high but shows clear frame line at bottom.  Pencil note on back claims double transfer at upper left but you'll have to make your own decision there.  Scott $190 - get this one cheap!
