Item Description

A very well centered, fresh and very fine NH PAIR of the 4C VIOLET QUEEN ELIZABETH II COIL STAMP FROM THE 1953 KARSH ISSUE.  Printed on smooth vertical wove paper that shows vertical mesh only when held up to the light, and which gives a dull reaction under ultraviolet light. The spacing between the stamp impressions is 4.5 mm. Shiny yellowish cream coloured gum. 2015 Unitrade values a VF-75 NH pair at $9.00. However, pairs and singles grading above VF-80 are hard to come by. The pair offered here grades 84 as follows:
