Item Description

A very well centered NH example of the 5C ULTRAMARINE "G" OVERPRINT QUEEN ELIZABETH II STAMP FROM THE 1953 KARSH ISSUE.  Printed on horizontal wove paper giving a dull reaction under ultraviolet light and showing clear ribbing.  2015 Unitrade values a VF-75 NH single at $.90. However, examples above the grade of VF-80 are much harder to come by due to the fact that these stamps were line-perforated. The stamp offered here grades 84 as follows:

Absence of Visible Paper Flaws: 5/5

Perforations: 10/10
