The are 2 large lithographed color plates in this book, all sunk on card stock and proof like in quality and with glassine overlays over each, depicting mostly rarities from the collection in their issued colors as well as Edward Henry Corbould's Queen Victoria. There are also about 10 full page illustrations in black & white.
This book will immediately strike you as something out of the ordinary. It comes in its own red solander which has a few bumps and scrapes and it is very large: it is 10½" X 14½" in size with burgandy covers with the title in gold on the spine. This volume was published in 1952 with the "Gracious Permission of His Majesty King George the Sixth", and all pages are on light weight card stock, with the printing and the color plates nothing short of exquisite. The book is not paginated, but contains about 80 pages, hard cover. Used, but appears new. The original solander is also included, but it is only in good condition but much better than most.
A rare and magnificent book!
