This cover was mailed from Chicago, Illinois to Davenport, Iowa in 1908 franked with a 2-cent carmine George Washington issue of 1903, Scott # 319, tied by a machine cancellation.The illustrated ad corner card reads:
"American Cotillon and Carnival Works
Manufacturers and Importers of

Serpentines, Lanterns, Confetti,
Carnival Goods, Decorations, Etc.

Unfortunately cut open unevenly at right but sparing the stamp, the backflap is sealed and intact. There are no contents or backstamps.
