Item Description
This cover was mailed from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada to Rochester, New Hampshire, U.S.A. in 1906 franked by a 2c carmine KEVII issue of 1903, Scott 90. The stamp is tied to the envelope by a simplex (?) Pumpkin / Jack 'O Lantern cancel.Manuscript 'not' and 'refused.'
Content is datelined 'Col Harbour' (sic Cole Harbour) and the spelling atrocious, possibly because: "pleas dont mind the riting for I am drunk know and my hand is Shakey..."
Slit open top, the backflap is sealed and intact. Doremus machine cancel verso as a Rochester, N.H. arrival marking.
