Item Description

This is the set of 1935 special printing National Parks commemorative matched upper margin guideline arrow blocks for sale. The set is complete from 1-cent through the 10-cent issues. All blocks are no gum as originally issued. Interestingly, those on the market which are gummed were gummed after the fact. Seems the Post Office Department issued the stamps without gum, collectors first purchased them as they were and subsequently had to send them to the Post Office Department for gumming, if so desired.

All 10 blocks are clean and very attractive and, despite being issued without gum, are never hinged. The reverse sides are all clean and free of any detractions. It may be worth noting, the 5-cent Old Faithful block does have a natural production-related diagonal paper crinkle in the left side of the selvage.
