Item Description
In 1990 the USA and USSR put aside their differences long enough to participate in a Joint Issue with a set of four stamps that depicted a quartet of Marine Mammals species on nearly identical stamps.These four FDCs each bear a pair of matching stamps from the two super-powers, with each nation's stamp receiving the proper pictorial FDoI cancel.
The frolicking pairs of creatures are depicted on an inserted card, visible through a cut out window in the light blue envelope, and positioned behind a clear piece of celluloid to mimic an aquarium view!
Less than 20 of these dual-cancelled sets of four were serviced!
