Item Description
"The Circus is coming to town! " . . . well, at least it was in 1993 when these four bright stamps were issued. The 200-year old institution has largely vanished, for the most part, in the last quarter century.The cachet was printed in three colors (yellow, blue & red) - a rarity for us at the time when the majority of our cachets were printed in just 2 colors. The se-tenant block of four is nicely cancelled with the FDoI postmark of April 6, 1993.
You can almost smell the sawdust and popcorn!
