Item Description
In 1991 the USPS issued a new Express Mail stamp with the highest value yet - $9.95. Here is a Plate Number Single FDC of that stamp from Sacramento, CA, featuring the Olympic Rings on the stamp, in the official FDoI cancellation, and in the hand-drawn and hand-colored cachet!The USPS was a big promoter of the Olympics in the early '90s, hence the Express Mail Eagle riding an Olympic Ringscycle!
These were done in a very limited edition of only 20 covers, and this is #4. It comes inside a FDC mount, affixed inside an 8.5" x 5.75" folder.
