Nice example of 1977 first day of issue of scott #1720a 13c "skilled hands for independence" stamps on block of 4 format. The four trades: #1717 "seamstress", #1718 "blacksmith", #1719 "wheelwright", #1720 "leatherworker". Artcraft cachet depicting vignettes of the four trades at top / "skilled hands / for independence ~ 1777" at bottom. Postmarked "cincinnati, oh / 45234" at top/bottom with "jul 4 1977" in center. Front and rear of cover are clean. Clean fdc postmark; does not obscure stamp in any way. Minimal, if any, discoloration. No creases, tears, or folds. Single stamp affixed. Artcraft cachet. Open flap ~ pristine, undisturbed gum.
