Catalogue Price for Listed Condition:  $240.00.

Comments on Stamp Condition:  Toning spots on back on middle of top margin.  Pencil marks on back.  Dealer and/or expert ink stamp on back.

The Scott Catalogue notes that counterfeits of the overprint exist.  I attempted to have this stamp expertized by the APS Expertizing Service but they declined to offer an opinion on the overprint because of lack of experts in this particular area.  The overprint looks very similar to that on French Equatorial Africa stamps Scott C10 - C14, but I do not have the expertise to authenticate the overprint.  If you wish to have this stamp authenticated by an expert committee after purchase, please let me know at the time of purchase which service you plan to use and I will guarantee your money back if the overprint is determined to be a counterfeit.  If you do not let me know of your intention to authenticate the overprint at the time of purchase, I will not offer this guarantee.
