STAMPS FROM BROOKMAN STAMPS & M JAFFE DUCKS - Check out our other items! ! This a very nice post WWI Post Card cover featuring a scene of The Inter-Allied High Commission at Koblenz Germany. The cover is posted with a Postes aux Armees 131 cancel ( Koblenz ) headquarters of the HCITR. This cancel is dated Nov 23, 1926 sent to Boureaux France. It is marked F M under the cancel. The condition is very good with some wear and soiling. The Inter-Allied Rhineland High Commission was created by the Treaty of Versailles on 28 June 1919, to supervise the occupation of the Rhineland and "ensure, by any means, the security and satisfaction of all the needs of the Armies of Occupation". It came into being on 10 January 1920, when the treaty came into force. It was based in Coblenz.
